About Gardner Architects

It seems most architecture firms have a specialty, that use group or building type which they, by shear number, know inside out. Our specialty is office buildings and the tenants of those buildings.

Over the past five or six years we have done about one major office building a year, in addition to the countless tenant studies that accompany each project. What we thrive on, however, are the opportunities that present themselves in between these office buildings to apply our talents to a wide variety of project types. These opportunities have meant that we have been able to design an ultra modern automobile dealership, as well as redevelop historic structures that had once been the livery stable and ice production facilities for a number of breweries in Columbus, Ohio.

Residential structures have also come our way, with an emphasis on design for the developmentally disabled community. We recently had the opportunity to alter the typical Habitat for Humanity house design to meet the needs of two brothers with Duchene Syndrome. This was the first such adaptation in the nation and marked the first time Habitat had teamed up with a local board of developmental disabilities to offer folks with disabilities an opportunity to participate in the Habitat program.

Since our inception we have emphasized use of the latest computer aided design and drafting technologies. This has led us into 3D representations, virtual walk-throughs and object linked data management. As a result, our project documentation has consistently received recognition from contractors on its conciseness and accuracy. We bring this expertise to bear on projects of all scales, whether theyıre six story office buildings or kitchen and bath remodels.

Much of our work involves consulting work consisting of studies and conceptual design in which we set the tone and design parameters for an entire project. Many of the projects you will find mentioned in this packet are the successful culmination of such conceptual land use studies.

Finally, we urge you to contact our references that follow for confirmation of our abilities and performance.
